The course starts off teaching learners Scratch coding, which is an online platform that forms the building blocks of programming. This will be followed by a TinkerCad course that uses the concept of simulation to familiarise learners with electronic circuit components. This will allow learners to transition from block-based coding to text-based coding. Learners will then continue to build their knowledge in a practical setting by learning the rules of electronic circuits and working with hardware. The course also teaches learners about Arduino coding, which is an industry-relevant skill. The knowledge and skills learners gain will then be transferred to an engineering-based practical project like the Smart Garden.
